Every year, 1.3 billion tonnes of food is wasted while 795 million people are undernourished. Meanwhile, One of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions are caused by the food sector. We must take action every day for a better future, and our plates are an important place to do it.

Feed the Planet was founded by Worldchefs in 2012 as a way to empower and mobilize our global chefs’ network passionate about building a better future. We’re committed to using our voices to help ensure a more equitable and sustainable food system for all.
In 2016, Worldchefs joined forces with Electrolux Food Foundation and AIESEC, the world’s largest youth-led organization. Since that time, Feed the Planet has grown into a dynamic collaborative effort for inspiring social change.
The Electrolux Food Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization founded and funded by Electrolux. It supports initiatives to inspire more sustainable food choices among consumers and professionals and to support people in need in the communities around us.

AIESEC is a global platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential. A non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education, its members are interested in world issues, leadership, and management. AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or national/social origin.
Since their founding, they have engaged and developed over 1,000,000 young people who have been through an AIESEC experience. The impact of the organization can be seen through alumni who represent business, NGO, and world leaders, including one Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Martti Ahtisaari of Finland.
